Formal Project sequence: 2001 – 2006

    • Neighborhood discussions landowner by landowner
    • Neighborhood representative approached NEFF
    • NEFF and Chestnut Hill neighborhood structure the package - putting individual lands together to form a package
    1. Sponsorship to the North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership (NQRLP)
    2. Approached state agencies to encourage participation
    3. Approached the Town of Orange to encourage participation
    4. Structure individual conservation deals - some ownership in fee, others donation  or purchase of CRs
    5. Bulk of projects closed by 2002

Follow up projects continue...76 acres protected in 2005, and more likely in coming years building on success of Chestnut Hill neighborhood efforts
