Formal Project sequence: 2001 – 2006
- Neighborhood discussions landowner by landowner
- Neighborhood representative approached NEFF
- NEFF and Chestnut Hill neighborhood structure the package - putting individual lands together to form a package
- Sponsorship to the North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership (NQRLP)
- Approached state agencies to encourage participation
- Approached the Town of Orange to encourage participation
- Structure individual conservation deals - some ownership in fee, others donation or purchase of CRs
- Bulk of projects closed by 2002
Follow up projects continue...76 acres protected in 2005, and more likely in coming years building on success of Chestnut Hill neighborhood efforts
