"Foresters and the Care of Your Land", a newly revised and updated pamphlet, is now available. The publication describes: what a forester is; the types of foresters; services provided by foresters; and how to find a forester in your town.

Woodlands are a wonderful and complex natural resource. Often the only difference between rewarding, enjoyable woodland ownership and poor, even disastrous decisions is good information.

Foresters are local resources to help landowners make informed decisions about the management and conservation of their land. Working with a forester is an excellent way to determine your range of forest management options and choose a management strategy to meet your goals, while protecting your interest. "Foresters and the Care of Your Land" can help you learn more about foresters and how to go about finding one to meet your needs.

Decisions about land management and conservation can arise suddenly and it can be difficult to find information to make an informed decision. MassWoods provides lists of foresters and land trusts working in every town in Massachusetts. Find a forester or land trust in your town.

Since many landowners look to friends and family when decisions arise, you can also connect them to information and contacts on MassWoods so they too can make an informed decisions.
